[OOC: Skye has taken it upon herself to facilitate a discussion forum online.

All accounts highly anonymized and access granted only by a password; details are being spread by word of mouth, friend to friend, always with the warning that just because the accounts are anonymous doesn’t mean that Goluboy or his people can't try to sleuth people’s identities from context clues.

Skye sets a time for when the discussion forum will go live, and at midnight that evening, a website goes live with a simple comment post function and a message that all data will be deleted within 24 hours.

This is both a networking post for participants in the Shitty Little Town plot to compare information, and an in-game Anon Meme as NPC townspeople find their way onto the forum, hungry for internet socialization after these dry, dull years of slow shitty half-functioning dialup.]

Okay you know what, the things in the woods are vulnerable to specific kinds of light. Don't just try a regular flashlight on them. We tried to leave town a while back and our car broke in a way that can only be magic about 20 miles put. The geography warped magically to spit us back into town, but first we ran into the things in the woods that we think have been responsible for the maulings.

We rigged up a light they're vulnerable to. I'm making a break for the border past them. There's got to be something in town powering the curse, but if they're so set on keeping us in there must be a radius where the curse ends.

We’re still just starting to understand what happened, so we ought not to could start with killing. We don’t know what firepower Goluboy and Cygne got, we don’t know where the missing kids went, we don’t know if there’s permanent effects to how they wiped our minds, we don’t know if the sheriff’s department are in on it or just ignorantly following orders. The dead ain’t real forthcoming. We don’t know enough to go on a rampage.

[Since they got their memories back, Bunny hasn't left Dan's side and has been enforcing that Dan isn't allowed to go through more than three bottles of alcohol in a day. That's still enough that Dan's been able to sleep through a lot of the last few days when he and Bunny aren't monitoring the network. Bunny's been rightly worried that the return of Dan's bloodiest and saddest memories could trigger a bender, so Dan's consented to a tight leash and protection from himself by someone who loves him very much.

Hey y'all, it's Dan. I don't know much about Cygne or Goluboy, but when me and Bunny tried to leave this town by car we found it impossible and that's when we ran into the monsters. They seem restricted to where the fog is. They didn't seem to want to come out of the woods none.

Anyway, after that, we tried to see if we might could capture and talk to one, and it attacked me. When it got its claws in my scalp I felt all its emotions, and they're people. They're angry, sad people. That wasn't non-sapient animal emotions I was feeling, it weren't survival or fear, it was despair and hopelessness and rage.

I reckon they can be placated.
