Fetch some of our loved ones if we need to, [he's thinking about Sherry but he won't say it, of course.] take them there, then nuke the shit out of whatever we came from and make some fat stacks with our tragic backstory. It's fiction, after all.

You could still ask Branch and warn him of the possibility. He may be willing to help if he has preparations for being stomped on. He may also welcome an excuse to retaliate. [It's amusing, imagining this arrogant mortal getting thrashed by the tiny colorful troll.]

I would hardly be the reasonable one, pointing out the flaws with his plan from practical experience.

I think it would be best to ask Miguel first. I'd rather not ask Branch to take that risk unless we absolutely have to.
