I was thinking: since this place is very high stakes and we gotta defend it otherwise our own worlds are going to explode or something, if it's got this much power then maybe we can create a whole new world? Fetch some of our loved ones if we need to, [he's thinking about Sherry but he won't say it, of course.] take them there, then nuke the shit out of whatever we came from and make some fat stacks with our tragic backstory. It's fiction, after all.

Well, I mean, if there's no money then there has to be an alternative currency of some kind, and I'll take that.

[Garurumon inwardly considers if perhaps this particular guy should be kept in the dark about the existence of El Dorado. It's not like Garurumon has gone there, but from what little he knows he can imagine Jake trying to take pieces of gold from it]

Focus on the whole world saving thing first. You don't get paid if everyone is too dead to give you anything.

I know better than busting my ass for nothing. In fact, I was busy saving my world for 50 million dollars, and things have not been shaping up nicely. Might be too fucked up to do anything already.

As much as Garurumon hates it, that's the one similarity he sees between him and others so far -- that the places they came from aren't exactly in top shape]

Truthfully, he's currently at a point where he's indecisive about going ahead with killing his human partner, and Jake's words do make him lean a little towards doing it. A little. Definitely not nearly enough to actually pull it through, but it feels like a bit of validation in some twisted way...and that makes him feel conflicted, for some reason]

Right, right! See how far that carries you when the thing you're trying to get rid of without thinking is an entire world.

[A tad uncalled for to cast doubt on Jake's detachment, but, well, it's typical of him to lash out a little when he's in doubt and this is the only thing he's got he can use to try to hit with]
