Last: Introductions for the new kids. And universe number, if your world has one of those - the chalkboard maps are getting digitized. I'll start.

The magic that keeps us concealed has something to do with that, I'm guessing. But things don't remain hidden forever.

I haven't found anything specific on this, it would be worth investigating.

Particularly when their general location is very widely known. An orbital strike at the ice cap would take care of us, even if they did not know the precise location of the base.

I have brought up the possibility of an attack to Frost, and he has invited me to set up any additional defenses I wish- so long as they do not interfere with the workshop's operation or residents- but I do not think he has considered what a full assault would mean. Mere traps and defenses will not be enough if Kuk sends an army.

Given the character of our encounters here, I’m expecting something a little more low-tech than that.

More like an avalanche of shadow things running up to the front door. [ wavey hand to demonstrate a member of the hypothetical fearling army ]

Still would be very bad. Have you talked to the yeti about it? I imagine they would maintain any defenses.

Small favors. Though I would not want to face an endless army of magical creations of darkness. I doubt I could contrive to be their leader this time.

I- have not talked to the yetis. [He hasn't really been thinking of them as more than part of the setting.] You are right; not only are they most likely to be the ones maintaining the defenses, in the event of a full assault, they will be the bulk of our "army", such as it is.

The yeti are busy, but Frost's pulling double-duty.

Probably your best bet for making any progress any time in the next few weeks. If you do Phil a favor, I bet he'd be willing to talk.

[He gives a rueful chuckle.] I expect Frost will be relieved when he's back to merely pulling double duty. Unfortunately he has not shown much inclination towards delegating to lighten his load.

Offering to assist the yetis with one of their duties is not enough of a favor? Ah, well, I am sure I will be able to think of something else to offer him.
