Besides providing first aid, I can perform general surgery, both with and without activated gravity.

[It's actually wild that the Director would ever be adamant about performing surgeries in zero gravity, but yes, it was a thing.]

I have also gained the power to scan organic lifeforms within a ten foot radius without equipment.

[He won't bring up his counseling services because he doesn't feel like getting dogpiled - not that they would do it at this point, right? - but they are not off the table. He just needs to stabilize himself fully, first.]

Will keep that in mind if we ever take a field trip to the moon. Between you and the healing magic, it sounds like medical is pretty covered.

What does the scan give you? Just the vitals, or more than that?

Apparently I can set it through intention. I can decide to have it be a vital scan or an X ray. It could also be useful to locate weak spots in hostiles, although I would not advise sending me in the front lines despite the limited range, I do not have good enough endurance or combat skills for that.

Plenty of ways to help without needing to get into combat.

I did not partake in the most recent mission, and haven't encountered anyone from the enemy forces.

Are you going to put the mission related information in the archive immediately? It would be wise to contact some experts that can render it secure from any type of threat, including those which are more magic in nature. While I am not doubting the elves' abilities, it is best to never underestimate our opponents. There is always a chance that they found a new way to hack into our means of communication and then you would be, in a way, potentially announcing to an enemy that you are gathering all intel in one place.

Which means that there might be a need to verify one's identity in order to access, since a mere password would not be enough, and having to provide fingerprints or retinal scans is an invasion of privacy, which might exacerbate feelings of distrust and further endanger our team.

[Not to mention that Elle literally lost a hand recently. She does have another hand, FOR NOW, but that's not big enough a guarantee.]

...You must also remember that not all of us can use magic.

Already on it. I’ll have to consult with some of the other gearheads to see if it can actually be implemented, but we should have a good way to secure all of it.
